Theory of Games
Storied Gamist
Greetings from Hyboria.
Anyone familiar with the diceless Belonging Outside Belonging/No Dice No Masters ttrpg system? The core? I found it and have been doin' the diligence over the last 24 hours or so. I like it. A LOTS. After several millennias of fellowship with our friends the dice, I need a more transparent (?) gaming experience where the dice aren't dominating gameplay.
It was fun. But the concept of unbridled storytelling has won me over.
My main question is: how many tokens do the players begin with?
I get that players spend tokens to resolve certain tasks and do cool stuff. I get that players can earn tokens by having their characters fail and suffer.
But what do players get at the starting gate? Many thanks for any assistance provided
