So I don't know if we can get fully to the point of agreeing completely on how well the spells will work, particularly not if I have to approve every spell (and every class feature, and every possible Wild Shape animal). I'd like to get to a point where we can start playing, even if we may have problems later, as long as we're agreed that we'll take those problems in stride and not get totally bent out of shape about them.
Dumos is approved. In large part this is because I'm a huge fan of your "all the details" section; it means that even if my book finishes falling apart completely, I'll still know exactly what he can do. I could still use a little clarification of his flavor points (eg who's this lost love he's pining over and what happened to them?), and the entire thread is welcome to help me brainstorm a better way of adding him to the party than just "you randomly cross paths on the road" (though that was pretty much my initial plan, before this scenario with the Animal Messenger occurred to me based on the overlaps between Ashur and Annaliese - and Keth, who I'd be happy to bring into the same scene as soon as I'm sure that we've reached an accord, about the level of minmaxing (for lack of a less loaded term) I'm comfortable with as DM, versus the amount he feels compelled to do as a player. Jmuchiello's point is well taken, but I'm not at all sure I agree with it - if we wait until we're 100% on the same page, we might be waiting forever.
