To be honest, it bothers me when people throw around 'That's ugly basketball' without actually explaining what it is that makes strong physical defense so ugly. Teams like Detroit, Indiana, San Antonio, Miami and Chicago are a joy to watch IMO if you pay attention to movement away from the ball. The amount of effort these teams put out on both sides of the court is very commendable, and I'm actually entertained by these teams. While all of these teams play outstanding defense, they also acheive greatness through solid offensive execution. Frankly, for the first time in a long time I'm excited to watch professional basketball.</blockquote>
