We even listen to loud bombastic music or sad melancholic music for catharsis. One reason I read and go to the movies is for catharsis. That isn’t the only reason why I like something like Conan but it is a major one. Again whole genres are built around characters who do questionable things. Should we just stop having characters like John Wick, Michael Corleone or Dirty Harry ? All three display done antisocial behavior.
