The first pc I created for 3.0/FR was a halfling ranger who was a worshipper of Avoreen. Based him off the drawing that Brazillian artist did on his website(Claudio P?). Avoreen is the grim god of halflings that protects the halfling homeland by tricks, traps, etc. My pc, Kavleta, was the complete opposite of Frodo. Grim, spoke few words, and even though he was LG, the other pc's never suspected him of being LG. Maybe if he was a dwarf it would have been expected!! Kavleta, one time punched out another halfing he was guarding, because the fool got drunk and was flirting with the human bartender's daughter and I saw he was going to take an ax to the fool. One punch, then over my shoulder and they sat on him the rest of the night until morning until he sobered up. He showed great loyalty to his party members. At 1st level he rescued a figher(also 1st level) from a hill giant. Kavleta shot the giant in the back with arrows and then hid when the giant turned around. The giant left after a while and did not eat the other pc, who had been knocked down the 0 hp. The second time was when the party's ambush went south against a group of orcs & goblins. The party had to flee. The party got seperated, and Kavleta went back to rescue one of the party members who got left behind by himself. Has anyone else run a pc, who acted completed opposite of how most people expect a class, race or alignment is expected to act?
