Not sure what you mean.

Polymorph is a keyword in 4e, for powers that change a target’s physical form in some way.

In most cases, none of your defenses or abilities change, and you are limited to certain types of actions.

Do you have a specific polymorphing power in mind? Class?

Specifcally I am playing a shifter barbarian who plans on taking the moonspeaker paragon path and i am wondering what the wolf for does specifically

It's pure fluff.

The power let's you add Wis to speed and shift 2 squares.

Also you look like a wolf. That might be helpful for hiding etc.

Note that you can only use one polymorph power at a time.

Mostly flavour.

As the text for Unleash the Silent Predator says, it allows you to add your WIS bonus to your speed and get a free 1 square shift when you move.

Everything else stays the same, as far as I know. So even though you're a wolf, you do [W] damage, etc.
