Norse deities...little help?

The Shaman

First Post
In 3e Deities and Demigods, there is a listing for a Norse deity of the sea and maritime commerce (or something like that) - what is that deity's name?

Thanks in advance.

Njord is the one in the 3e book. He's the Vanir god of the fertile seacoast land as well as seamanship and sailing, who was briefly married to the ice-giantess Skadi when she picked him by mistake because he had pretty feet so she thought he was Balder. Njord is the father of Freyr and Freya.

Aegir is another prominent Norse god of the sea. His wife, Ran is a sea goddess who collects the drowned in her net.

and his brother Fjord is god of glacially overdeepened coastal valleys extending below sea level and filled with salt water.

Ahto was from the Finnish/Suomi pantheon, not Norse.
Ahtojää is a type of ice that covers a sea. Ahti is the god of sea. Not that saying that fixes anything, but I keep trying. Meh. ;)
