Message: <blockquote data-quote="Psychotic Jim" data-source="post: 2547969" data-attributes="member: 547">Doug, that sounds like a great campaign.  Can you tell us more about it?Myself, I’ve wanted to play with the idea of ergot (a hallucinogenic fungus that provides a basis for LSD- it infects grains) inspiring the delusions that led to the Salem Witch Trials.  What if somebody purposefully planted a dosage of ergot on a much more massive scale than happened in real life?  I think it might make for a good basis for a war campaign between the Puritanical Commonwealth and the Witchlings of Naumkeag.  Who would be lurking behind the scenes, gaining from the downfall of both nations as they destroy each other?On a more fantastic note, I've been trying to discover alternatives for the people of Northern Crown to develop rather than slavery.  The world is fantastic in that it has natural philosophers and wizards both able to make artificial constructs that could replace slaves and indentured servants.  Although there's really been no move against slavery by the Uropan powers, I would suspect that there could be a great demand within religion (all Clerics are good) to do away with slavery.  This would leave a niche open for cheap constructs to fill.  Perhaps using the Warforged from Eberron for this might be fun; they might have a status similar to droids in Star Wars.</blockquote>
