Hello! Always nice to see a thread bring out so many of the Mystara and BD&D fans :). I too would go with a new version of the Mystara campaign world as my first choice, revised and updated for 3e, preferably as a single hardcover with all the excellent production values and attention to detail lavished on the 3e Realms hardcover. I'd concentrate it on the Known World, with broad overviews of peripheral areas like the Isle of Dread, Bellisaria, Norwold, Sind, Hule, the Savage Coast, and even the Hollow World. I'd probably set it post-Wrath of the Immortals myself, though I wouldn't hestitate for an instant to pick up a well-done pre-Wrath book. I'd like it to at least mention the topics in Mystara's Creature Crucible series, too; the hidden worlds of the forest fey, the undersea realms, the Flying City of Serraine, and the lycanthropes. Ideally, there'd be room to squeeze in updated versions of the War Machine and the Sea Machine (the BD&D mass combat rules), as well as a nice executive summary of the Epic Level rules to properly stat out all the seriously pumped-up dudes Mystara's so jam-packed with (and perhaps even some Divine Rank advancement guidelines, for those who miss the old Immortals rules). Second pick would be a similar treatment given to the Birthright campaign setting. I also wouldn't mind seeing some of the old high-level adventures, particularly Isle of the Ape, Throne of Bloodstone, and some Companion- and Master-level BD&D modules, updated with proper 3E and Epic Level Handbook stats. Hmm, haven't seen a copy of this one in ages. This is the one with the Rahn-Ko Ranger Fooler, the Fiendish Exercise Machine of Bardolpho the Mad, and so forth? That one was indeed pretty amusing... Cool thread. Ah, the memories... :)
