That is, if you only want a +1 rapier (valued at 2320gp), Thyrin would give you (3000 - 2320) / 2 = 340 gold (in gems, which may be sold in Orussus at 100% value).</p><p></p><p>For reference, Rilithorne offered 200 gold each, plus extra depending on what's actually going on.
