Nov. 8: d20 Modern Launches – Releases for M-Day Anthony Valterra posted to the d20 Modern mailing list that November 8 will be d20 Modern's official release date. While most third party publishers have little control over when their books actually hit the shelf we all have lots of control over when we post previews or get items listed at RPGNow. I'm interested in seeing what everyone else has planned for Nov 8, either previews, demos, or products for sale on-line. Second World Simulations will post a preview of the Lightning Warden class at 12:01 (or so) AM that morning on my website. Lightning Wardens tap into the elemental force of electricity, lightning, and storm; they can create a circuit through the air, command electronics, hurl thunderbolts, or summon a storm. They can also power electronics in worlds that normally couldn't support that kind of technology. Like all of the warden prestige classes in the Second World Sourcebook, Lightning Wardens can choose from an array of at least 25 special abilities as they advance in level, making each warden class reusable, and each warden distinctive. Needless to say, if you have a d20 Modern PDF product I imagine releasing it at launch could boost sales just a little. If I recall correctly some publisher released their first product electronically at about 12:01 on the date of D&D3e's launch; what was their name again.... anyway, some company run by Orcus.
