Would Rendezvous With Rama count? It's not a tomb, and sci fi, but it was huge.

I remember reading the non-fictional story of Howard Carter and the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb and finding it fascinating, but I don't recall what the book series was called. Something about egyptologists.

The Tomb of Horrors novelization isn't too bad.

Rama is perfect to me. Very much a dungeon crawl especially if you look at sources like Expedition to the Barrier Peaks, Dave Arneson's City of the Gods, and many, many small and not so small examples from Judges Guild setting The Wilderlands. Also there is Gamma World and it's ancestor Metamorphosis Alpha.

Man I would love to play in this kind of a game!
