Saturdays, mostly, bi-monthly (every other week), or when players can get together. NW Houston = Highway 249 aka Tomball Parkway near Spring Cypress, if you know the area. If not, it's about 15-20 minutes north of the beltway 8 and 1960 intersection. Current levels: 5,6,7 due to deaths in party (death = new character at level -1). I've had 3 character deaths in the party :( - That's more than I've had in the past 4 years! And no - it's not an extremely religious party - though I and 2 players are proud to be Christians - the deities are quite mixed - Moradin, Boccob, and Olidammara. Patron deities are a requirement for characters. Campaign environment is the entirety of a kingdom. Weeks of travel throughout a medieval, heavily magical, world. Stereotypes are not to be trusted, but the peasants are ignorant yokels. So far, we've seen ruins being explored, an army of undead stopped, forestry bandits killed, we are in the middle of a crossroads between a city adventure with a thieves guild and a desert mission to identify the cause of the loss of caravans from border towns. Again - it's a free will campaign. The world does not rotate around the characters - events are in motion and will occur. The characters interact with a living world that is in motion around them. This generally leads to a very amusing time as the actions of the characters often impact into those events and modify them. It's also amusing when players are not accustomed to this and perceive certain events as 'hinting' - there is no hinting, there is no 'guidance' unless you seek out a sage who actually knows something :)
