NW Phoenix - Looking for Group

Looking for 2/3.0/3.5 DnD campaign in NW Phoenix AZ. I can GM (and have a campaign ready to roll) or am very willing to join an existing campaign.

I like light roleplaying, heavy problem solving/dungeon crawling. But I am flexible.

Prefer once or twice a month, any day of week.

The tough criteria, I prefer a group who have jobs (out of school), and live away from mom and dad. Nothing against people who don't fit that criteria, they can be a lot of fun. But I will have more in common with those who do.

This makes two of us. I figure about 3 - 6 more and we should be good to go.

I have had two people express and interest in joining. I can probably snap 2 more. I would like to see five or six in order to round out the party.

Some brief background on the campaign and how players will fit into it:


The world has a very long history, and <any> race is available for character play. I allow a lot of exceptions to the rules, but I keep game balance/re-balancing as the guiding principle.

The primary race of the world is Human. Player-character Centaurs are allowed, but it is hard to participate in a barroom brawl when you are in the stable. I would recommend keeping your characters humanoid.

The campaign is 2.0 based, but it makes some sense to port it to 3.5.

In this campaign, characters will build levels extremely fast. It is a moderately high-magic world.



Questions that I have for the characters are:

-What race/racial abilities do you like to play?

-What class do you like to play?
Multi-Class is broken in 3.5, I cannot recommend it as written.
We can develop a working multi-class if you want (Balance is key)

-Clerics have a bit of an edge when they deal with their Deity.

-What is your role-playing style?
-Role playing is the reason for playing
-Role playing adds flavor to the game
-Role playing gets in the way of the campaign

-Do you enjoy playing within the confines of a role
(ie: Paladin, DragonLord, Scion)


-Playing Frequency/Days
-Twice/month - I can have a richer, more in depth campaign
-Once/month - People can attend without cramping their lifestyle
-Weekday/Weekend

- I prefer twice/month. At least one day on a weekday
