I've been working on the economic aspect of the world. Trading You are now unable to sell anything worth more than 1,000 GP to the NPC merchants - Ascension is a small town, and there aren't many super-wealthy people there! However, you are still able to sell expensive items. You can sell them to other players by using the new merchant in the Ascension Market. Simply leave your item with the merchant, specify a price, and wait for another player to buy it. You may find it worthwhile advertising your sale on the Bulletin Board in the tavern. Note that this is also an ideal way to buy and sell houses. Simply buy (or sell) the house keys. In this way, as players get wealthier, they may purchase larger properties and sell their old homes to other players. Random Treasure I think I've replaced most of the random treasure with craftable natural resources now. Previously, on a walk down the road out of town, a player could find a king's ransom under various boulders and so forth - fairly silly. Now, instead of finding loads of treasure, you will find lots of craftable natural resources lying around, which you can use to make items and sell. Note that you can sell items of 1,000 GP or less to the regular NPC merchants, but if you end up crafting magical weapons, armour and so forth, you will need to use the player merchant to sell them to other players. Things I'm Working On... A way to customise the interior of your house by purchasing furniture and other things. This includes both cosmetic stuff and useful stuff (forges, cows, alchemists tables etc. - all the craftable natural resource facilities) so that you don't have to wander round the whole town borrowing the facilities in the shops of various NPCs. Much better to have all the stuff you feel you're likely to use under one roof!
