Or variant rangers? or HP systems? or Magic systems? Since there's very little cross-polination in the 3rd party world, the answer generally boils down to "well, how many companies are there? One for each of 'em."This one book, compiling some of the best and the brightest of 3rd party publications, will markedly reduce the amount of duplicated material, due to the heads of those companies saying "Well, since more people saw Unearthed Arcana than saw most of my product line, it'd be in my best interests to go with that, unless there's a good reason to vary." Similarly, like people go with the SRD, unless there's a good reason to vary. And less duplicated material means more page space devoted to new stuff, and/or fluff, which are basically the only two reasons to buy a supplement. <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f642.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":)" title="Smile    :)"  data-smilie="1"data-shortname=":)" />Publishing, smublishing. This means that 101 different companies will all be more likely to use 1 rule than 101 (or even 50) different ones, because of the unity of the fan base when it comes to WotC products. And THAT benefits me as a consumer!</blockquote>
