obscuring mist

a stupid question, i'm sure, but it's been bugging me for a while. does obscuring mist obscure the sight for the caster as well as everyone else, or is he/she immune?

it doesnt say anything about the caster being immune, and it isnt illusion, so he cant see through it.

It isnt like the caster can see through his own wall of stone or anything
