However while he became reasonably successful at hiding, he always re-appeared come mealtimes and it did not take his father long to come up with a no-work, no meals rule. Therefore, as soon as the local lord started recruiting for the war, Trinham said good bye to his parent and went off to enrol in the army.</p><p></p><p>Shortly after Trinham had completed basic training, his barracks was subjected to strange poltergeist and ghostly apparitions. A short and speedy investigation concluded that Trinham was starting to manifest sorcerous powers. Trinham was placed under the tutelage of Archimedes, the lord's advisor.
