Omen operates as an assassin for whomever can afford his services. He uses his ability to peer into the past and to glimpse the future to locate his target and be wherever his target will be ahead of time. Once there, he draws upon his martial arts abilities to strike the target when they are at their most vulnerable. Omen’s most recent contract saw him working for the superpowered criminal gang known as the Concrete Dragons. The gang sought to eliminate several dangerous enemies, including the powered vigilantes Onyx and Rebelle. For reasons that remain a mystery, Omen canceled his contract at the last minute despite having the opportunity to eliminate his targets. This earned him the enmity of the Concrete Dragons, but Omen seemed unconcerned and offered only the cryptic revelation that fate had offered him “much greater concerns to pursue.”
Currently incarcerated at one of the lower security levels at the Gereza Maximum Security facility (AKA the Black Box), Carolyn Burgess, AKA Platinum Blonde, represents an inmate who is similar to many others in outlook, attitude, and personality but who manages to stand out as someone who doesn’t belong there. EaGLE Division (Espionage and Governmental Law Enforcement) classifies Burgess as a superpowered being (SPB) because she possesses abilities superior to those of an average human. In her case, however, she lacks flashy, apparent, or damaging powers. Her capabilities come through a combination of innate ability combined with intense training. Although she’s a consummate escape artist, she lacks the power necessary to escape from the Black Box on her own. In addition, she doesn’t have a violent or destructive nature, requiring constant observation or lockdown.
