(At that point, the Canadians had plans in the works for forming their own superhuman force analogous to the American Strikeforce teams, and they wanted to collect information as to what they might expect in the field.) Cruz suffered the misfortune of being near ground zero at the start of the [REDACTED] Incident. He survived but with severe damage to his torso and the loss of both arms.</p><p></p><p>Wicasa grew up in a community part of the Anishinaabe First Nation in the Ontario province. She would’ve happily lived there with her family and community for the rest of her life if not for a bout of curiosity, an unfortunate encounter, and curse placed upon her by an evil industrialist. The highest point near her community was the Mound of the Stars, a large hilltop that offered a remarkable view of the heavens. Wicasa, who lived at home and cared for her ailing mother, was awake the night something fell from the night sky and struck the hill. From her kitchen window, she watched as strange lights bathed the hill and cast long shadows as figures moved about.
