As he knows that he and maybe a couple other survivours of the crash who are willing to take a stand don't have superior numbers, only guerilla warfare is their way.As for the three captives: during the first two seasons they were the main characters (even getting near a triangular relationship) and I don't think they can stop following what happens to them for more than a couple of weeks. Locke and Mr Eko will turn up alive probably but not Desmond as he seems to have served his purpose. Even though it's still a miracle that helps Locke walk again, he will change his way of thinking given what happened with the hatch. (I expect less talk from him like "the island gives you ..." or similar lines) Mr. Eko will probably help Locke with that.As for the rest of the crash survivours, they seem like characters who either aren't courageous enough (like Hurley) or have something or someone to lose (Jin and Sun, Bernard and his wife, Claire and her baby). You won't expect much action from them.</blockquote>
