OGC _and_ free-for-use?

For E6 (see the sig) I'm looking for sources of templates and feats that I could include with an eventual E6 document. E6 needs these things to provide for its advancement, which is entirely feat-based.

Without reigniting the value/destruction OGC-freebie debate, what materials could I include with E6 without offending the moral sensibilities of its publishers?

Reality Deviants Publications has quite a few excellent feat PDFs. I know two of them are mine, Rage Feats and Sunder Feats (see signature), both of which would fit very well into E6. They are OGL, so I think you can use anything you want out of them as long as you include the original source.

Well, if you are using OGC, I would assume that you'll place the OGL in your document, and update your Section 15 to include the Section 15 entries of all sources that you borrow from, so credit will be given where credit is due, by virtue of that alone. (An extra note somewhere would probably be appreciated, too, at least in some cases).

As for feats, I'd suggest the Netbook of Feats as a good source for consideration:

In regards to templates, I'd suggest both "Advanced Bestiary" and the "Book of Templates, Deluxe Edition":

Hope This Helps,

Those are excellent sources; I'm hoping though to avoid angering the original authors. I was under the impression that some d20 publishers, although bound by the OGL still get very upset when people reprint their material.

I mean, I would LOVE (love!) to use the Book of Templates and Advanced Bestiary stuff - they are the bee's proverbial knees, so to speak. I just don't want to do it that way if it's going to cause offense.

If you want a list of potentially friendly sources, check PCGen. There are numerous publishers' products that the PCGen team has acquired permission from. Should cut down your search time.

From the Netbook of Feats, you'll see that we're starting to include a number of OGL feats in the book. Our philosophy was to avoid putting in anything from a source less than a year old, to make sure the original publisher gets as much for their work as they can. Legally, there's nothing that can stop anyone from publishing OGC, but it is definitely a courtesy to the publisher to consider the impact on their income first. Most are pretty good about it. Just send them an email and ask if it's okay to use their OGC, and how you should reference them in your text. I'd even go so far as to offer a paragraph in your introduction to encourage people to use their products. Any help we give other publishers is only bolstering the gamer economy, and doing good things has a way of bringing back unexpected rewards.

With Regards,

The various SRDs (3.5., Modern, Anime, etc) will, naturally, be useful. And the you have the Netbook of Feats (despite claims, the declaration of OGC info is somewhat difficult to find -- the entire book is OGC, save for the d20 License, the d20 logo, and other artwork). Nevermind ;)

Just checked out the NB of feats myself; I had no idea anyone was still maintaining that! Just out of curiosity: are there any plans for more PDF releases (ie, should I just get HTML), and do you know if any of the other old NBs are still maintained?
