In days of yore, Sigtrygg Forkbeard led his company upriver, into the desert’s hostile heart. They unearthed a lost mine brimming with red diamonds, but as the Serpent made its return, the river went dry and the ship was swallowed by the dunes. Forkbeard and company were never to be seen again, but tales of the desert ghost ship persist. Presently, an elderly magician has devised “irrefutable means” to locate the wreck and reap its treasure trove, but he requires able-bodied assistance.</p><p></p><p>Astonishing Swordsmen & Sorcerers of Hyperborea is a role-playing game of swords, sorcery, and weird fantasy. Its rules and conventions are similar to the First Edition of the world’s most popular fantasy role-playing game. Surviving is the only thing you can do now. The world has gone to hell and you’re on the fast track of running out of supplies. Your previous encampment has been overrun by the walking dead. Yep, those films you watched on Night of the Living Dead, 28 Days Later and The Walking Dead are true. Will you survive? Or will you become one of them! Characters Provided. Ammo is Limited.</p><p></p><p><strong>Valley of the Wyrm (Pathfinder)</strong></p><p><strong>GM: </strong>Robert Lamm </p><p>Aystrom XI: Answers have been revealed, but the danger is far from over. Your next task is to locate and secure Pathfinder, a legendary sword capable of guiding its wielder to any destination. Research has revealed the previous owner hid Pathfinder in a boiling marshland known as the Cauldron. To reach it, you must pass through the Valley of the Wyrm, a nesting ground for dragons and similar monstrous creatures. Protective parents sweep the skies above the valley, making a stealthy ground approach the only option. Characters provided.</p><p></p><p><span style="font-size: 12px">Slot 2 Events (6 PM to 10 PM)</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 12px"></span><strong>Casefile: Evil Acts (Dresden File RPG)</strong></p><p><strong>GM: </strong>John Sussenberger</p><p>A prominent local thespian arranges a single performance of The Tempest as his swansong to the theatre, casting himself in the role of Prospero, the exiled wizard. Only the PCs, and a handful of locals “in the know,” become aware of what is really going on: he’s a real wizard of the White Council, using the play to cast one final, powerful spell—assuming his daughter’s interference or his own dark nature doesn’t bring down disastrous consequences first.</p><p></p><p><strong>Warmachine Hordes Demos</strong></p><p><strong>GM: </strong>Cardin Corbit</p><p>Are you interested in getting into Warmachine or Hordes? Bubbling hot springs and volcanic geysers create an enormously dangerous environment. Even the inhabitants of the Valley seem to avoid the area. At the center of this sulfurous pit lies Pathfinder, an artifact of great power. This ancient sword has the ability to guide its wielder to any destination and will aid you in stopping the nihilistic D’ar Sidhe in their quest to end all existence, but first you have to find it. Characters provided.</p><p></p><p><strong>Charnel Crypt of the Sightless Serpent (Astonishing Swordsmen & Sorcerers of Hyperborea)</strong></p><p><strong>GM: </strong>Jeff Talanian</p><p>A knave of the City-State of Khromarium claims to have witnessed the Sightless Serpent, a legendary beast reputed to shed gems for tears from eyeless sockets. Tales of the Sightless Serpent stretch back to the time before the Green Death, and many heroes have sought it. For a pittance, the knave will lead your party to its trail.</p><p></p><p>Astonishing Swordsmen & Sorcerers of Hyperborea is a role-playing game of swords, sorcery, and weird fantasy. Its rules and conventions are similar to the First Edition of the world’s most popular fantasy role-playing game. Pre-generated characters will be provided.</p><p></p><p><strong>Civil War (Marvel Heroic Roleplaying)</strong></p><p><strong>GM:</strong> Jason Spracklin</p><p>Play as one of the many iconic Marvel Superheros characters at the dawn of the Civil War. This is a quick introduction into the Marvel Heroic Roleplaying Game and is great for all ages.
