I am looking for several players to playtest a system inspired by (though "based off of" might be too strong) D&D. If you are interested in playing a system that is truly different from the D20 system, yet still maintains the feel, please contact me at reanjr@wwnet.net.
Optimally I am looking for players and gamemasters based on the following criteria:
* Loves the D20 system.
* Has issues with one or more subsystems in the D20 system.
* Can accept the slaughtering of "sacred cows" (including classes, leveling, fire-and-forget magic, armor class, the way HP works and many other "calves").
* Excellent ability to communicate problems: What the problem is, Why it is a problem, How the problem can be fixed.
Additionally, the following are very beneficial:
* Lives in Detroit, MI area and is willing to do a face-to-face to discuss the results of playtesting.
* Has a group with a mixture of players from newbie to veteran.
* Background in probability and good understanding of interrelated systems.
* The gamemaster, at least, should be a very quick learner, though players should run the gamut.
Also, I need to check into the legality of it (due to the OGL), but if possible, I would like everyone to sign a Non Disclosure Agreement.
