Link:West Greetings all. Allow me to introduce myself, and offer any assistance I can about Link:West I am the designer and creator of Link:West and since it is already in its second printing, I would have hoped more would have known about it. There has been a lot of buzz comparing it to Sidewinder, but please understand that this is a western that is somewhat different from what those at Sidewinderd20 are hoping to accomplish. Sidewinder is a historically accurate RPG without mysticism or supernatural abilities. West has the potential to be played historically accurate (overlooking certain attributes and classes) but is primarily designed to be a little bit more fantasy than Sidewinder. Link West also takes place in a world where some different events took place in history and are altering the course of this "alternate" world. Amerius, Acadia and Inca Espania now make up what we would see as North America, and Those hailing from the homelands would call Euroboros their home. There is a LOT of room for you to make up your own towns, cities, tales of lore, or you can resort to soure materials in the upcoming West Sourcebook (Toying with the names: Sidearm, Holster, or Saddlebags) I don't see Link:West as any sort of competition with Sidewinder or even Deadlands because we see ourselves as appealing to Gamers who want a western world that is not as Mystic as Deadlands, but not as historical as Sidewinder.
