OK I'm REALLY curious..how come no Staff reviews of BoVD?

Hey folks...

I was browsing the reviews page, and noticed that there were VERY few reviews on the oh so controversial book...only 6!

I was even more surprised that there were no reviews by Alan, Joe, or Simon..

What gives?

I'm thinking because not too many people bought it. It wasn't dark and vile enough to justify the sticker price IMO.

I don't know. I didn't get to read it, because at my local gaming store, they have it shrink-wrapped, covered in a plain brown wrapper, and they'll only sell it to you if you're over 35 and wearing gloves.

Is it about Harry Potter?

My reviews lately have suffered due to massive amounts of school work.

In addition, I tend not to review products I've bought. THere are exceptions but I play enough and review enough that I don't feel that I need to review everything I own. If a company is willing to send it to me, I try to review it in a timely fashion. Sometimes, like now, that doesn't happen.

I'm currently behind on about twelve books right now. Looking forward to playing catch up in the next two to four weeks.

Not enought of anything to justify the $32 price tage. Pretty thin book, and much of the content is fluff.

Heh..interesting this came up again...

I got it for a gift a day or two after I originally posted this and I'm pretty dissapointed..not because of the "fluff"..but I just think it's a pretty poor book..it's depressing to read (at least for me), and doesn't have a whole lot of anything I would bother to use...fluff or crunch...

They even messed up the Pic of my fave demon-lord(Demogorgon)...

Oh well, good thing it was free

No, not typically. And in my case, product for which swag has been prodived gets precedence.

That said, I have a review of BoVD on my HD, about 1/2 done.

If that is for an adult player then based on what I have had occur in my games I should be serving time. It's a marketing thing. "ohhhh- mature content- I MUST have it... yawwwn."
