Old articles about the 1e monk

Are there any old Dragon issues that have articles on the 1e monk, or monk type stuff? Or is there some way I can search old Dragons issues?

Thanks.

There was a reworking of the monk in one of the very old issues, which was reprinted in one of the Best Of issues - I'm at work at the moment, so don't know offhand which one it was. You might also stop by dragonsfoot.org to ask this question, if you haven't already - that's the absolute best place for any 1e questions, IMO.

The article is called, "He's got a lot to kick about," and it was reprinted in best of Dragon III.

Originally in Dragon 53. There were a few other looks at monks worth checking out too:

I did indeed write "Bonds of Brotherhood" based on the 1st Edition Monk. If I can answer any questions about it for you, drop me a line!

That issue with your article is on my buy list. I'll definately bug you if I have any questions. :)

I've been playing D&D since 1e, but never really read the magazines until 3.5 (I think I might have picked up an issue or two way back in the day, but who knows what happened to them).
