old dragon magazines

First Post
I am going to gen con this year, so I am doing my usual thing of cleaning out my old games to sell at auction. (I cant let this stuff take over my house)

I have a collection of old dragon magazines (from 77 to around 210) that I would like to get rid of. are they worth much? I am debating whether to put them in the auction or just put them in the auction store?

How would you sell them?

thanks

truthfully unless you do this as a business you are gonna lose money.

you will get about $1 each at a FLGS as trade

or about $50 plus shipping in handling as a bulk sale.

not really much for what you paid.

so dont even try to sell them at gen con? You would just throw them away and not take them to the auction?

sell 'em anyway, even if you don't get much for them. it's better than throwing them away.

What's the difference between the auction and the auction store?

I think you need to look at the issues in question and see if any of them are popular. I know some people that would buy the whole lot just to get the issues with the writeup on the Hells.

I'd say auction it, you don't really have anything to lose since you're willing to part with them and they don't have a whole lot of resale value.

You could always sell them on eBay, but like diaglo said, you won't get much. That saves you carting them up to Indy and the buyer will pay shipping, of course.

You could also donate them to your local library. I've been to several libraries in NJ and in CA that carry D&D stuff. If you do that, they may bring new gamers into the fold :D

I sold all my magazines to them for credit, worth every penny, as you can then turn around and spend it on new games. :)
