Old Monster Adjustments

I've read on several threads now that monsters pre-mm3 should be adjusted to mm3 levels. I'm not exactly sure what this means. I typically get all of my monsters from the adventure tools; are these already updated?

If not is there an easy way to determine whether or not something is pre-mm3 and how to adjust it?

This link has the stats on a business card. Just check to make sure the numbers match up.

Note that a monster's average damage per attack might be lower than indicated if the monster has e.g. a damaging aura.
