Old TSR Mini Games

Hey there,

Anybody remember these games from the 1980s? I just found the old viking/fantasy game "Saga" (which I used to have) yesterday on E-bay and some references on the web to "Revolt on Antares" (which I also used to have), and "They've Invaded Pleasantville" (which never appealed to me). There was another one, a Dracula-themed one, that I also used to have, but I can't remember the name. Can anyone give me any leads on 1) the name of the game and 2) where I might be able to buy it?

"They've Invaded Pleasantville" was actually my favourite. IIRC the aliens replace townsfolk, so the Pleasantville side doesn't actually know who the bad guys are until they find them. OTOH, the alien side is usually stuck with some pretty wimpy invaders at the start. Decent mechanics and a great atmosphere.

I believe it was just called "Vampire". No idea where you could find it, other than ebay.

Other games I remember from the series:

Viking Gods - where you play out the battle of Ragnarok.

Remember the Alamo - three guesses. As I recall it wasn't enormously historical (i.e. it was possible for the Texans to hold the fort), but quick and fun.

This had a "Murphy's Rules" in the Space Gamer IIRC, the cartoon was titled "Manual Insertion." The rules for using the Silver Bullets stated that "A gun is not necessary to use this item."

I had Revolt on Antares, They've Invaded Pleasantville, Saga, and Vampyre. I remember having them, and I know my brother, my father, and I played them, but I don't remember much about them. I still have the map from Antares, though.

God, is this a smack from the past across the face, or what?!?! I used to have SAGA and VAMPYRE, and used to play them with my cousins at my aunt's house, because her religious views brooked NO D&D material in her house (though these games were fine ;)). I played SAGA with MYSELF when I was bored back then, too, when I had no other players. :(

I lost or gave these away probably 12 to 15 years ago, easily.

Dragontrove was a hit. Just got "Revolt on Antares." Now if I could just find "Vampire" my regression to 12 years old would be complete!
