OK... There they stood, a mutated skunk named Pepe Le Fume, a mutated armidillo with large crab pincers named Snapper, a mutated cockroach named Atta and the mutated human named Helix. Having just finished off a pair of Hoops and looting the bodies, the party stood staring down the dark tunnel. About 100 meters in the dark they could see a slight glint or shine and shadows moving about. It was decided that Atta would sneak down to investigate. Upon Atta's return he reported, that down the tunnel, was a strange small building covered in glass with a large door. The building was sitting on a large metal bar that ran the length of the tunnel. A faint light trickled through the windows. There was no sign of other Hoops. The party as a whole then went to investigate. They first attempted to go around the building only to find the tunnel walls had collasped around it. The only way through was the door. They discovered the door to be stuck and so it had to be forced. forcing the door they discovered someone..or something had placed a metal bar to jam the door. How could it be?? :uhoh: Inside the building the party found that it was made up of metal and windows of the ancients. A few ancient gloing orbs gave enough light for them to see. On either side were cushy benches still intact. In addition there were numerous poles and hand holds. Three additional doors could be seen, one to either side of the "strange" building and one at the opposite end from where they came in. After the last of them climbed into the "building", they began to investigate. Then IT happened...the door shut, sealing them in and the building began to jerk and move... ripping itself from the colasped rubble outside! Soon the walls were passing by at a quick pace. At this point they decided to try the door at the other end, as the two doors at the sides were just going to take then in to the fast moving walls of the tunnel. As they opened the door, they found themselves in a duplicate room like the one they just came from,... but this one had some additions....Hoops! Two of them positioned on the other end of the "moving building". The Hoops muskets banged as members of the party charged! Hand to hand erupted but it wasn't long before the Hoops were no more! During the fight the "buildings" speed increased dramatically making combat difficult at best. The fight was over, but the the speeding "building" was just getting started. As they started to go toward the far door of the next unexplored part of the "building", a slug came crashing through ,nearly striking Le Fume! Another Hoop...it must be! But with a better weapon of the ancients! The party decied to "go for it" and rushed into the 3rd section of the speeding "building". There they spotted another Hoop, but this one was different...bigger and with better arms and armors. In his large paws held a high powered slug thrower of the ancients. This fight would not be as easy as the last. The Hoop got off a could shots as the party engaged. Before long they were in hand to hand and the Hoop Leader was doing a good job of defending himself, armed with a humming knife and great martial prowness. But....to no avail, the party overwelmed him and he surrendered in exchange for his life. ...just as the surrender was happening, the next unexplored door to the moving "building" opended and a large metal man with a huge metal club walked in....only one word was spoken in the ancient tongue..."tickets?". Not receiving any response from the party, the metal man swung his club, stricking and nearly killing Le Fume (I think it was him) in one swift blow. Thinking fast, the party threw the the newly surrendered Hoop at the metal man. The Hoop, realizing what the party wanted, ripped off his glove and grasped the metal man's leg. A long moment past then the metal man's gleen altered into a pale rubbery substance and fell in a heap! The danger of the metal man was over, but the moving 'building" was starting to shake and bend as its speed increased even more......... find out next time how our mutated adventures deal with ........ .........."the Runaway Building"
