Nobody gets their way always; if the group voted, she can go along with it or ‘vote with her feet’. </span></span></span></p><p><span style="color: white"><span style="font-size: 12px"><span style="font-family: 'Calibri'">Did something happen in the last game and she wants her ‘pound of flesh’? Then the OP has a problem; especially if the rest of the group is neutral or oblivious to the offense. </span></span></span></p><p> </p><p><span style="color: white"><span style="font-size: 12px"><span style="font-family: 'Calibri'">Someone mentioned groups of women and attendant problems. If I get a group of three or more female players, two ALWAYS turn on the third. ALWAYS. It may not be blatant but it’s there. Not sure why this happens but my guess is that it is somehow programmed into their psyche…</span></span></span></p><p><span style="color: white"><span style="font-size: 12px"><span style="font-family: 'Calibri'">But I have also met many who were more balanced. The best example (maybe I’m biased. Scratch that. I am biased) is my wife. We met at a Renn faire. Have many things in common and can compete as equals in intellectual activities. That she is many years my junior makes it easy to work with in the game. You see, most players don’t know that we are married. Our ability to separate our emotions for the fun of character play is one of the competitions. Sounds simple but it’s really not. She is smart enough to seriously challenge my plots and the villains. She is resourceful enough that she’ll make do with fairly mundane gear, but use it to the max. And always is able to explain the ‘what and why’ of her actions. She’ll take a GM call, argue once with supports from rules/physics/commonsense, and then, go back to the game. Just like any other convention level player. But then that’s why I married her. Not everyone is as fortunate as I (and, I hope she) but it can happen to you. </span></span></span></p><p><span style="color: white"><span style="font-size: 12px"><span style="font-family: 'Calibri'">The game or a relationship, like real take a level of maturity that is often lacking but can be reached with time, patience, courage, and dedication to the thing you love, whether game or relationship. </span></span></span></p><p> </p><p><span style="color: white"><span style="font-size: 12px"><span style="font-family: 'Calibri'">Good luck on your search… </span></span></span></p></blockquote><p></p>
