Definitely one quirk of the 2E era is things could genuinely be all over the map. I do get that NPCs are not necessarily following the same rules here as PCs, but it always felt like when I first started playing D&D and guys would show up to the game with characters they rolled all sporting 18, 18, 18, 18, 18, 17 stats</p></blockquote><p></p>
