...this morning, and saw a school bus with designator sticker on the back reading "CR27".
First thought through my mind: "Damn, that's one tough bus."
First thought through my mind: "Damn, that's one tough bus."
That's not a bus, it's a Construct in Disguise.......this morning, and saw a school bus with designator sticker on the back reading "CR27".
First thought through my mind: "Damn, that's one tough bus."
What qualifies a monster to be a CR 27 anyway?woah, we found the first CR 27 creature in a5e guys
(seriously though why does the MM have literally 0 cr 27 creatures that's a little bizarre)
... see...Saw that bus again today...either it's stalking me, or it knows I'm a GM and wants a job.
Unfortunately, the PCs in my game are 2nd level...![]()
An interesting twist on this is to add in a ritual that the characters can learn that prevents the "destroyed" pieces from reintegrating back into old Shibby so if the characters go in wands blazing (as characters are wont to do) without researching what's going on then the final encounter will be tougher... see...
This just gave me the idea to have a CR 27 "Old God" or something that is the primary antagonist of a campaign starting at level 1, and having the old god SHOW UP. Like out of the gate.
But ever in "Piecemeal" form. You're not fighting Od-Shibhu at level 1, you're only fighting against a few tendrils of power slipped into this reality... and they're CR 1/4 or something.
And over the course of the campaign you're -actually- killing this thing, Piecemeal, one tiny bit at a time, working up to level 15-18 when you fight the whole monster all in one battle... but he's still got the wounds you inflicted at level 1 and every level in-between.
... that would be cool.
