I posted my wishlist on a thread over in General Discussion, but since this is here, I shall contribute to this thread as well. I have a personal bit of dismay currently (and throughout 2002) about d20 publishers not meeting my needs, so hopefully this is at least a tiny bit valuable. *shrug* (In fact, only *one* publisher, Necromancer Games, meets any of my needs - and only a small portion.) 1) Mass combat system - has various levels of complexity that can be used or discarded, can take into account tactics (everything from digging trenches to attacking supply lines) and does not require miniatures. Malhavoc's upcoming event book might cover this, but I'm skeptical. 2) Realm/barony/kingdom-running system - there's been more than 25 years of gaming, and this *still* doesn't exist?? I'm looking for a detailed set of rules for PCs running their own realm (everything from a small little region up to a kingdom). Includes rules that start from the very beginning - the PCs build their stronghold in the middle of nowhere, and work up from there. How much do roads (and other infrastructure) cost that the PCs build? How many settlers show up? When? What resources can they harvest? How much? What's the value? What taxes are appropriate? Also includes rules for populace "general happiness". 3) More higher-level adventures (levels 13+). Others: Epic-level support (adventures), and lots of them (when and if the ELHB ends up in the SRD). Ah well. The bright side is, gaming has been relatively cheap for the last little while, as all the products coming out have been relatively useless (and derivative) to me.
