But yes, the core class with standard feats, yeah the monk class is underpowered in and of itself. Even the monster monks I've seen on the optimzation boards aren't super huge damage dealers, but they can effectiely keep most oppoents from ever attacking or casting spells while still doing moderate damage.</blockquote>
