Nyrthellan's Woods (NW) is a 1st Edition Dungeons & Dragons Faerun Campaign created as a continuance of the original AOL and AIM text-based communities. Character Creation will open on June 1st and the games thereafter are held every weekend, beginning the weekend of June 4th-6th.

Just thought I'd let everyone know that I joined this site as I belonged to the old one.

If you disagree or tell the people running this that they have the rules wrong, they will ban you. I wish I was kidding. I didn't even get to play in one game before they banned me for pointing out flaws in an email.

Not worth the time or effort IMO to deal with this lot.

Two games in and my fiance quit this campaign. I may as well. I think its wrong that you are treated like children in this game. Being 22 years old, I shouldn't have to ask for permission to send an im to the dm. The dm should always be on top of their game.

I never heard of people telling the dm the rules are wrong, but I seen people leave before they could do anything. Also the gameplay is VERY Linear. Im a dm in 4th edition, and I am guilty of sometimes being linear with my storytelling and roleplay, but I try to give players freedom. In this game, so far we been pulled by a leash, similar to how dogs go for walks.

Im going to give this game 2 more weeks, if it even lasts that long. If things don't pick up I will let people know on this forum on this thread.

I haven't had the time to start puttingthings together but I'm going to get some 3.5e PbP and possibly chat-based for the older players (and any new players that want to have fun instead of the childish crap happening there).
