The sweltering heat threatens to kill you... there hasn't been any food or water for two days now the slaves are dying. Your so thirsty it is hard to concentrate and as you look around you realize that unless you want to be added to the mass grave being dug you had best come up with a plan... Escape is your only option and the guards are cruel men who make sport of the slaves misery. Hopefully some of the others will be strong enough to help. (Starting terrain will be rocky desert with small patches of vegetation, bordering an ocean.) The world itself is homemade and uses the basic pantheon as well as races/classes from v3.5 D&D. I do allow the use of flaws from unearthed arcana with a limit of one flaw and one trait. The only books that I downright refuse to allow are psionics. With the provision of having asked me first there are not many other things I will not allow. The starting premise of the campaign will be characters in captivity, whatever gear you may have purchased and decided upon for your character will be returned within the bounds of the first two sessions as the story progresses. The starting level will be 1, and the maximum level adjustment is +1. The statistics can be done using 32 point buy or if you prefer I will allow you to roll them using the dice roller for the campaign while under surveillance of course. ((6 rolls assigned as you choose with 1 re-roll, if the rolling turns out very poorly you may fall back onto the point buy.)) Starting gold will be by class per the Players Handbook.I do award bonus experience and items for particularly well thought out backstories/roleplaying/well rounded characters something to keep in mind. I prefer that all the characters stay away from the extreme alignments that is Lawful Good/Chaotic Evil as they rarely get played correctly and when they are they tend to be a major inconvenience to the party. I am seeking between three and five players for a new campaign. The medium will be text inside of a determined chat system based on player preference as well as a separate dice roller(( Dice roller )). I am not requiring blazing fast typists but at least a decent skill and speed will keep you from being removed from the campaign. Honest spelling errors happen and are unavoidable even from the best typists, however continual frequent misspellings and use of slang will result in removal. ((I do not mean to be a Nazi but it takes away from the feel of the game which is the point of playing.)) Of course I will be looking for a well rounded party so even if you have asked to join before someone else it is possible they may be selected if you are wanting to play a redundant character class. If you are interested in joining please post to this thread -and- send me a private message so that I will not miss it. The two days that are open for sessions are Saturday and Sunday please include which you prefer in your post. I will be keeping the recruitment open for one week starting today 4/29/12.
