I'm very interested in this software. But, there's no need in even demoing the stuff unless everyone can run it...

I am alittle concerned about the cost, what will we need to play? do we each need a copy of the lite and the DM needs the full or what? Having said that it looks cool, let's give the demo a try if we can.

Oh, I just thought of this: Can we extract the text of the session? If not what about the write ups?

Not to poke my head in here where it is not needed, but yes...the application automatically creates a file called chatlog.html which contains the entire log of everything that goes on in the chat window.

Here is a sample from our game last night: http://www.msnusers.com/FantasticAdventures/Documents/Chat Logs/The Burning Plague/chatlog.html

Hope you can access that!

Well, msd answered the text question (thanks!). Which, I was concerned about.

Don't worry about the cost. I just need to know if everyone can run the program. But, as it stands, and the way I understand it, I would need the full version ($40) and each client would need the lite version ($20). But, as I said, don't worry about that. I just need to know if everyone can use it. If not, it's not worth the time and effort of trying it out or using it. :)

It looks like an interesting program. One thing that I think would make it REALLY cool is if you could create a character in Wizards'/Code Monkey's e-tools and then import it into the fantasy grounds program. As many problems as Code Monkey has overcome creating a universal, bug-free character generating program, I would be suspect of a program that did that, made maps and allowed you to play a chat game through the program. That sounds too good to be true, y'know?

It doesn't do that at present, but if its any consolation, you're not the first person who has asked for that, so the developers do seem to know that there are a number of people who would buy/use both apps.

Again, hope that helps.

My computer is verily capable of handling yonder program.

Cool. I imagine that Ender's computer can handle it as well. I have my doubts about Archmage tho. I'll need to email him, I suppose.

I'll probably get the demo and run some tests with Fred when Zog is running around solo.

I downloaded the demo, played around with it abit and now I have another concern (altho, not a major one): It doesn't look like the char generation supports pisionics. I am sure we can add that as opitional rules and all that but we are talking about a good bit of work.
