Jarval - thanks for the starting gold. I'm just in the process of doodling up a description of the city/region in which you will start. For some reason, early 20thC Wales seems to be the image I have in mind. I thought I would share to give you an insight where I am, but don't get too hung up on it. I don't really know anything about Wales. Just a couple of worn out cliches really. Perfect. The central patron in the game will be a priest (NPC). Each of your characters will have ties to him (or his church), and through that, your character will have become aquainted with the others to some degree. With some your character may have become friends. But there is no requirement that you like each other. But nothing so strong as to make your characters unwilling to work with another. The priest should have some reason to have some small faith in your abilities and character. However, keep in mind that you are 1st level, and have will not have had enough time/experience to build a solid reputation as yet. Trusted perhaps. But largely untried. HOUSE RULE OPTIONS -- Profession -- Ranks in profession acts as a safety net to skill checks in the field. So if you have 4 ranks - you can replace any related skill check roll of less than 4 with a 4. IC THREAD CONVENTIONS Italics for thoughts "Talking marks for anything said aloud." ooc: size=1 for any ooc comments, relevent maths and mechanics, etc. No colored text please. ENDNOTE I am sure that there was something else. Can't remember what it was though.
