Interesting - given Roy's counter-argument to V's information, it seems that even if he'd known about it in advance, he'd still most likely have blown up the Gate, so the fiends' intervention might not have altered that outcome.
The major likely difference would have been that the time they spent arguing about it would've given Tarquin and his army time to reach the pyramid and be at ground zero when it detonated.
