I kinda agree. Wasn't expecting the last panel, yet it didn't really make me laugh. It's like 'THAT was the surprise. '

Actually, I liked it quite a bit. Especially if it just stops here and the next strip moves on the story.

Talk about avoiding revealing secrets. Could have ruined nearly all character interactions.
