I think even Lien was surprised and worried at them casting off. One has to wonder if she can even catch up, considering her expression. She certainly didn't follow.

I'd say that she stayed there so that Rich will have someone on hand who can tell Haley and Belkar what happened.

We should start a bet in which strip the OotS will meet again, and whether Roy will be back from that dead at that point.

"Weigh anchor"? Why would they have the anchor out when they're tied up to a dock?

To keep the boat from being bashed against the docks by surf, tides, wind, etc... it's actually fairly common in certain harbours depending on how you tie up to the quay, particularly where they are unsheltered - as they appear to be in the last frames.

So my theory is that Rich wanted the nice view of the open docks, and being a highly proficient sailor realised exactly what that meant in terms of nautical safety and had the captain make sensible use of the anchor
