My timing is great. I bought that book over the weekend.

And I must say that self referential product placement as an advertising method has never been so effective! The closest to such a thing I have ever seen is when a WWE Pay per View has lead in promos' / advertisements for its self. Given that you had to pay for the PPV to see the advertisement, I did not exactly consider it to be very effective.

Edit: I just remembered: Space balls also has self referential product placement, but the products are fictional. Jurassic park also had a shot of Jurassic park themed merchandise.

I like how he keeps his promise to recap anything from the prequels that you would absolutely need to know--and then manages to find a way to tempt people to go out and buy it anyway, all in one panel.

Also, apparently Crystal has a tongue stud. Sexy context, indeed.
