More precisely, in Haley's own words, "Chaotic Good! Ish!"
(OK, technically, I guess her words were "Nyfewpm Reeu! Pvy!". But I know how to solve cryptograms.)
I've always understood that to mean somewhere on the border between CG and CN, probably on the CG side. Ian is on the CN side, but as close to the line as First Edition rules on class and alignment would allow. I'm sure he's quite proud of his liberated Third Edition daughter for transcending the limitation on goodness that so constrained him.
