Hi folks - odds are you've seen some of the recent threads about the game HackMaster. A lot of people (myself included) are very enthusiastic about this game and in getting new players to try it out. That said, there are quite a number of online HackMaster games, using programs like MapTools (for which there is an outstanding macro) in unison with Ventrilo or Skype. All you need is a microphone and headset and you're good to go. One of my fellow GMs is opening a new game on Sundays (likely to be a biweekly affair) and is currently taking on new players. You are welcome to join in, although it's first come first serve. Send me a PM and I will give you the relevant information. Also, if you are interested in trying the game but cannot commit to a game, I can also schedule some online demos for you. Once again, just send me a PM and we'll get the ball rolling. The bottom line is this - at this point it seems that the only people who really know about HackMaster are the ones who've played it. There are a ton of misconceptions out there. But at its core, the game is designed to emphatically strike the Old School Cord while doing so with a system that is new and innovative. In a lot of ways, it seems like the calls from the DnDNext movement have already been answered... but don't take my word for it. Try the game. PM me with your interest. :)
