There are tens of thousands of children in the U.S. living in homeless shelters or at risk of becoming homeless. One of the most destructive aspects of homelessness is the impact it has on a child’s education. Education is one of the primary tools of breaking the cycle of homelessness, and yet these children will go to school severely unequipped to perform even the simplest assignments because they lack such basic supplies as backpacks, calculators, and pencils.
In an effort to raise awareness of this issue, Bards and Sages will be donating 50% of its profits between now and August 20th to help provide school supplies for Operation Backpack, the annual school supply drive initiated by Volunteers of America. Operation Backpack helps supply thousands of children across the U.S. with the tools they need to perform in school.
