Anyone pick this up. If so, what are your thoughts?

Does this cover anything about Argonnessen or it cover dragons only?

Thanks.

Yeah it gives some details about Argonnessen. Don't remember ofhand how much. It's a curse of collector, I bought the book but haven't even had a good look of yet. The art is super. Especially a picture about couple of half silver dragon frost giants. I'll give you a more detailed rewiev when I get home in few hours.

It's actually about dragons throughout Eberron in general, but it does include a first real look at Argonnessen as a whole continent and the culture of the dragons that reside there. A brief history of dragons and some key historical events is included as well as the theology of the dragons, which was a fantastic read.

On the whole, it really gives a strong insight to the bigger picture of Eberron and its mystical nature. You also get a much stronger feel of how to use dragons in Eberron. All of this targets the book to being about epic-level campaign ideas, too.

Honestly, if I hadn't moved and was able to continue my dragon-themed Eberron campaign, which started with Eyes of the Lich Queen, it would have been of great use, but unfortunately, the new player in my new campaign aren't interested in a dragon-themed campaign.

It is a great book. It is filled with all sorts of information on the Dragons of Eberron and their lands and history. It is not a must have since Dragons don't need to be an important part of the game. But if you have interest in the dragons it is just what I wanted.

Now that I managed to take a look of it again I can confirm what everyone else already said. Most of the book is actually dedicated to argonessen and anything related to dragons there. There is also few pages on the prophesy and some real guidelines on how to incorporate it in games. It gives some insight to eberron's ancient history from dragon's point of view, and their own religion. Then the last chapters take a look on how dragons relate to affairs in Khorvaire, Xen'drik and Sarlona. The art I find super as I already stated. Page 146 being one of my favourite, more on the idea how to draw half-dragon than the actual style. Definetly worth getting if you plan on incorporating dragons in your eberron campaign.

One more vote of confidence for the book. I just picked it up because my PCs were going to Argonnessen and I was planning to make some more use of the dragons, and it's jumped to 3rd on my list of most useful Eberron books (after the ECS and Sharn: City of Towers). Frankly, even if I wasn't running an Eberron game, I think I could get a lot of use out of it as long as I was doing a lot with dragons (and playing them as more than giant lizards which sit around on hoards of coins). And the above is even though I expect to make absolutely no use of the stat blocks which the book contains. If you're someone who likes pre-made stats, then it's even more useful for you.

I liked most of it, but they did slap 6 aristocrat levels on half of the dragons.

Recheck your book. One of the dragons in the book has aristocrat levels.
