[QUOTE="Manbearcat, post: 6343741, member: 6696971"] On the contrary, there is a lot of data here to inform an opinion as to how dynamic or interesting this class might be. This looks to pretty much just be a Pathfinder Sorcerer (which of course is a slightly more interesting 3.x Sorcerer with Bloodline Features) with a spellcasting pool system that rations your power. The Metamagic aspect is going to be just the typical d20 deal of expand/maximize et al. No armor. d6 HD. That requires the 4 Sorcerous Origins, the Font of Power, and the Sorcerous Restoration (6 features in 20 levels) to deliver a lot of awesome and nuance payload. If Sorcerers had their own unique spells, rather than going back to the shared spell lists, then those 6 features wouldn't require nearly as much heft in delivering all the punch that makes each Sorcerer subtype so extremely unique (Chaos, Dragon, Storm Sorcerers should be vastly different from each other thematically and tactically in play). But that doesn't appear to be the case with 5e. If those 6 features are considerably robust and there are discrete, Domain-like spells available to the various Sorcererous Origins, then those Sorcerer players expecting 5e to bring the awesome should be satisfied. Back to the first paragraph, the lack of proficiency in leather armor and the d6 HD is carbon copied from 3.x and PF (rather than the light armor proficiencies of 4e which I found to be more fitting). The d6 is a little surprising given the Wizard and Rogue bump in HD. Also, a bit of an odd duck with the previously stated ethos of "pick your subclass at 3rd level" (unless they've abandoned it...which wouldn't be a surprise as the design ethos has seen its fair share of rearrangement throughout the process).
