Female cleric/wizard -ish character, in the Realms? Skip the multiclass; do as the folks above have suggested, and go with Cleric. BE a cleric of Mystra, pick the Rashemen region, and get the Ethran regional feat. And aim squarely for Hathran. ^_^ To qualify, you must be a human female from Rashemen, with the Ethran and Leadership feats, 4 ranks of Knowledge (Local: Rashemen), Mystra, Meilikki, or Chauntea as patron deities, and be able to cast at least 4th level spells, either arcane or divine (you're no longer required to be able to cast BOTH). Oh, and be a member in good standing of the Witches of Rashemen, and not possess any item creation feats other than Scribe Scroll. Pick up the Magic domain as advised, and the feat "Initiate of Mystra" (which gives you a chance to cast spells, even within a deadmagic zone or antimagic field, AND, adds several nice spells to yoru spell list!). Make sure you buy/acquire a wizard's spellbook, and have the party wizard keep it updated with a small selection of spells - the Initiate feat I just pointed you at adds Anyspell and Greater Anyspell as non-domain spells. ^_^ For the second domain, I strongly suggest Rune, as it gives you that Scribe Scroll feat for free. Between that, and Anyspell/Greater Anyspell, you can make your OWN scrolls of wizard spells up to 5th level. Of course, they'll be DIVINE SPELLS, not arcane, when YOU scribe 'em ... but *shrug*, no big deal, eh? ^_^ The benefits of Hathran are these: Bonus to leadership skill, IF your cohort is either (a) a female rashemi with the Ethran feat (and thus, a spellcaster of some sort - Wizard works especially well here, as then you've got your own ready supply of wizard spells to Anyspell for ^_^), OR, (b) a male rashemi with 1 or more levels of barbarian (whom you can buff to the nines, and send into battle on your behalf ^_^). Within the boundaries of rashemen, prepared spellcasters cna cast any spell they know spontaneously, and spontaneous casters don't spend extra time on metamagics. Speak with and understand any creature with the (spirit) subtype. Other rashemi find it harder to attack her; Caster level bonusses with planar ally and planar binding spells; 1:1 spellcaster progression; Wizard BAB, Cleric saves; Several spells added to the hathran' class list (many of them druidic, or initiate/domain restricted - like moon blade); Circle magic! Especially helpful if you have a female Ethran sidekick, who can then contribute TO said circle magic. Granted, it's a pure Cleric build, but everything you wanted to do with your character, can be done as a cleric with the Magic domain. Add in a wizard cohort, Mystra as a patron deity, and the Initiate of Mystra feat - and the rules for "mastering another's spellbook" WRT your cohort's spellbook - and you've GOT yourself a FUNCTIONAL wizard/cleric. Without multiclassing, and with plenty of "Realms flavor" to boot. ^_^
